Nalvis (f) and Efer (m) are the in-laws of Olfert, a German Hospitality Club member who is living together with his wife (Cuban) and daughter in Cuba. Olfert we met a few days earlier in Havana.

How we met Nalvis and Efer

Before coming to Baracoa, we were told by a friend to contact Nalvis and Efer whenever we need help or a place to stay.

Nalvis' and Efer's kindness was overwhelming. Though they did not know us (they just heard about us from Olfert) nor asking them for help, they cared about our wellbeing, and came to the bus station to pick us up for providing us information about camping in Baracoa area. Unfortunately, we were not in the bus. We arrived one day later. By telling us how buying food and daily life works in Cuba, we got a good start for our travels here.
