Mit der “Connecting the world”-Idee versuchen wir die Verständigung zwischen Menschen verschiedener Kulturen, Glauben, gesellschaftlicher Schichten, Alters usw. zu verbessern. Wir sind davon überzeugt, dass die Überbringung einer persönlichen Nachricht in Form eines Geschenkes den Empfänger verstehen lässt, dass der vorherige Besitzer gute Absichten verfolgt.

Eigentlich war es unsere Absicht, mit unserem eigenen Geschenk zu beginnen und dieses an eine Person weiterzugeben, die uns auf unserer Reise begegnet (z.B. ein Gastgeber). Stattdessen begannen wir aber mit einem Geschenk, was uns zuvor übergeben wurde. Das geschah, da eine Person über unsere “Connecting the World” Idee gehört hatte und uns deswegen ein Geschenk übergab. Somit, ohne es ahnen zu können, bekam die Idee eigene Füße und begann ganz von allein zu laufen! ;D

Wenn wir das Geschenk übergeben, bieten wir dem Empfänger an, uns ein anderes Geschenk im Austausch dafür zu geben. Wichtig dabei ist die Nachricht, die an die nächste Person übermittelt werden soll. Auf diese Weise werden wir eine Art Kette bilden, die Menschen verschiedener Nationen, Kulturen usw. miteinander verbindet.
