Pradžioje šį projektą norėjome pradėti įteikdami savo dovanėlę pirmam sutiktam žmogui mūsų kelionėje. Tačiau, viską pradėjome nuo dovanos įtektos mums. Tai buvo mergina, kuriai labai patiko „Connecting The World” idėja ir nusprendė mums padovanotį dovanėlę. Taigi, projektas startavo savaime, mums to net nesitikint! ;D

Turėdami simbolinę dovanėlę, ją įteikiame kitam kelionėje sutiktam žmogui, su kuriuo praleidžiame pakankamai laiko, kad jį ar ją pažintume. Prieš atsisveikindami, pasiūlome pasinaudoti mumis ir sugalvojus savo dovanėlę perduoti ją kitam, kuris pasitaikys mūsų kelyje. Manome, kad dovanos gavėjas supras gerus siuntėjo ketinimus, ir neatsisakys prisidėti prie šios idėjos. Tokiu būdu kuriame tarsi suvienytų skirtingų žmonių grandinė, kuri, mums keliaujant iš šalies į šalį, vis ilgės…
