Merry Christmas to everyone! This week we are staying with Dalia from Lithuania and Australian Craig who are rising a 16 months old daughter Stella. On the Christmas Eve according to Lithuanian traditions we prepared lots of dishes as one needs to try at least 12 different dishes. The sweet part of the table had a raw cake made of almonds, carrots, apples and bananas.<\/p>\n

On the Christmas day we went to the Cape le Grand National Park with amazing beaches and landscape. The orange trees in the pictures are called Christmas Trees.\u00a0Apparently\u00a0this tree flowers every year during Christmas, this is why it got its name.<\/p>\n

Cape le Grand NP has several beautiful beaches. The most exciting name has the Lucky Bay<\/strong>. As always we were lucky and we saw 2 kangaroos chilling out on the beach and enjoying dead fish. Kangaroos officially are vegetarians, so when they eat dead animals (we’ve heard them also enjoying dead snakes on the road) they even surprise local Australians.<\/p>\n

On the way back to Esperance we passed the Wylie Bay dunes. Amazing white sand and nice place to have some fun.<\/p>\n

Analogies in Denmark (Scandinavia)<\/h2>\n

Wylie Bay dunes and the beaches of Cape le Grand NP where it is allowed to drive vehicles reminded us some magical places of Denmark which we visited in year 2009.<\/p>\n

Moving towards East<\/h2>\n

Esperance is our last stop in Western Australia for now. Monday (27 Dec) we are heading towards East. The biggest\u00a0challenge\u00a0on the road – Nullarbor desert, where in some parts there is nothing<\/em>, literally nothing for 500 km. Soon we will be in Sydney (still 3500km away) where we are invited to a 85 years birthday party of a relative of Augustas, who emigrated from Lithuania to Australia after WWII.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
