Alexey has a still beauty in himself. He appears calm, gentle, loving, and is always there when a helping hand is needed. His hospitality is kingly, his attitude towards guests like this of a very good friend.

Alexey is Russian and had grown up in Latvia. From a very early age he was interested in martial arts, which go far behind physical activities into the depths of a person's soul. He practices meditation since the age of 17, having lots of knowledge in different meditation practices. He also is lacto-vegetarian since young. He is the owner of his own little company, which seems to need few maintenance from his side, but enables him to live his life according to his likeliness. Alexey loves practicing, teaching, and learning new martial arts. He is very communicative, especially in a language he feels home with.

Besides living for a long time in different Asian countries, he loves to travel, and prefers to hitchhike while doing so. His favorite country so far seems Myanmar for his gentle people and their strong practice of meditation. He dreams of staying in Myanmar for a longer period than the general tourist allowance.

What do you see in this small stone? For some - it is just a small piece of some glass, for others - a precious gemstone or maybe simply a tiny piece of India.
Everything depends on how you look at it, and what you want to see.
Everything is the same like in our life - we can change it the way we want it to be.
We just need to change our point of view.
So, let's change everything to the best.

How we met Alexey Molchanov

We found Alexey through CouchSurfing.org and contacted him concerning our 5-months stay in India. He knew Varkala, a small town in the South of India, well, and offered his help for our temporary settling down here. Upon coming to India, we were received with warmth, enjoying a 2,5 week stay in his place, until we could finally move to our own house.
